2014 Youth Summer Camp Programs
British Columbia has endless recreational activities available in pristine natural settings that provide countless learning opportunities. Fireside campers are guided through western Canada’s most scenic areas, from hiking along wild Pacific coastal shores, paddling in Howe Sound, biking around Galiano Island, walking amongst massive old growth forests and discovering secret waterfalls.

Quest - International Youth Leadership Expedition (21 days) - For Ages 13 to 17
Canadian and international youth are welcomed to participate in a unique 21-day integrated youth leadership summer camp while being immersed in an outdoor adventure expedition. Located in beautiful British Columbia, participants explore some of BC's most beautiful and significant locations like Whistler and the Sunshine Coast (Desolation Sound Park).
Quest - Advanced Coastal Leadership (14 days) - For Ages 14 to 17
This extended canoe expedition will take Canadian and international youth on the beautiful Powell River canoe route on the Sunshine Coast of BC. Youth will learn advanced canoeing and back country camping skills, and have one day working on an organic farm.
Quest - Mountain Advanced Youth Leadership (14 days) - For Ages 14 to 17
Located in the West Kootenay Region of BC, campers will hike and camp in the beautiful Selkirk Mountains. Whitewater rafting, hot springs and opportunities to explore the rich, cultural history of the area counterbalance the advanced outdoor skills and leadership training amoungst magnificent mountain scenery. A once in a lifetime opportunity? You bet!
Explorer - Big Island (7 days) - For Ages 10 to 13
This junior outdoor leadership camp will take campers to one of Howe Sound's most beautiful islands - Gambier. Campers will hike through forgotten trails up to Mount Artaban and Gambier Lake, paddle the remote shores and build rafts.
Explorer - Big Canoe (7 days) - For Ages 10 to 13
Sometimes the best-kept secrets are just next-door. Join our camping and canoeing expedition at Golden Ears Provincial Park, where campers will fine tune their outdoor adventure and camping skills and explore Alouette Lake’s waterfalls, secret coves and off-the-beaten-track camping spots.
FireFly - JUNIOR Pirate Training Camp (3 days) For Ages 6 to 10
Ahoy Junior Pirates! Paddle your way along the shores of Halkett Bay Provincial Park on Gambier Island in serach of hidden treasure while learning the basics of camping and cooking outdoors. Additional activities include fort and raft building, fisherman knots, treasure burying, and snorkeling.
FireFly - Galiano Island Bike Summer Camp (5 days) For Ages 8 to 13
Bike touring and summer camping is an awesome way for kids to spend a week on Galiano Island. Each day campers will explore Galiano’s endless wonders by bike, hike up Galiano Mountain, go crab fishing, pick bucket loads of wild berries, play forest games, and most importantly, just having fun being kids.
