About Fireside Adventures
Since 2005, we have been making our mark in ESL, international and outdoor leadership development by providing participants carefully crafted and meaningful summer camps, positive personal experiences and memorable adventures in some of Canada's most stunning locations.
Whether the Fireside is a five or 21 day program, each participant is given an opportunity to challenge their perceived limitations, strive for excellence and learn about their individual potential.
Three distinct program streams have been designed to provide various levels of experience.
Quest Leadership Programs / Duke of Edinburgh Award Trips (ages 14-17)
These camps are 14 to 21 days in length and designed for international and Canadian participants wanting a more comprehensive outdoor and environmental leadership experience. Expeditions are composed of eco-community stewardship projects, outdoor adventure activities and skills development, intensive leadership training and personal skills development. By integrating international and Canadian youth, these programs provide the opportunity for participants to learn unique perspectives on global leadership, and thereby enhancing their individual leadership experience.
Quest Leadership camps are suitable for all youth who are looking for a fun engaging summer experience. We offer enrolment for Duke of Edinburgh Gold candidates, youth seeking post secondary school prerequisites and/or requiring leadership certification for employment.
Explorer Programs (ages 12-15)
A perfect prerequisite for the Quest Leadership programs, these 7-day adventures are designed to provide an introduction of leadership and outdoor recreational skills development. Explorer programs can include discovering canoeing and exploring the shoreline of Gambier Island by canoe or hiking to the top of a mountain in beautiful Manning Park.
FireFly Programs (ages 8-12)
For children looking for their first outdoor experience, our FireFly programs are the perfect choice. They are 4 to 5 days in length, provide an introduction to outdoor skills training and campers are left with ample time to play games and have fun making new friendships.
